Joe Macey turned pro in 1975. He is celebrating his 42nd year in live musical performance, averaging well over two hundred shows a year. He continues to tour at a brisk pace with no sign of slowing down. As one of New England's most celebrated entertainers, he continues to raise the bar everywhere he performs. He has won numerous awards over the years and has been nominated many times from different media groups. As a singer songwriter Joe recorded his one and only CD in 1995 at Studio C in Nashville TN, releasing his hit single "Lonesome Rider" world wide, and today remains his signature song which has sold over 30,000 certified units. He has opened shows for country legends George Jones, Waylon Jennings and Charlie Daniels. He currently has over 20 national openers to his credit including American icons The Beach Boys, Grand Ole Opry star John Conlee and many more. During his career he has performed hundreds of charity events both large and small locally and nationally. He also has performed many years for Saint Jude's radiothon with WKLB in Boston. Macey has inspired many musicians over the years, always encouraging people to pursue their passion. As a regional performer he continues to bring a solid set list, state of the art equipment and a vast amount of musical experience to the stage. Joe Macey has always felt blessed to possess his gift of music. Looking back over the years, and having entertained just about every where you can think of in the entire Northeast, a radio DJ once asked Macey, " How long can you keep going at this pace?", and Joe replied," One never knows when it will be your last show. Sometimes its not your choice, but I will say its been one hell of a ride."
